Since 2019, Lucy Claire Events has partnered with Connect Ventures to source and secure exceptional venues for their three-day Founders Retreats. These events bring together startup founders and investors in spaces designed to inspire creativity, foster connection, and promote wellbeing.

Each retreat requires a setting that balances business and leisure, aligns with Connect Ventures’ values, and supports seamless logistics across the UK and Europe. Whether nestled in the countryside or set within vibrant cityscapes, the venues we’ve sourced have consistently delivered the right atmosphere for reflection, collaboration and strategic thinking.

The chosen venue, Wasing Park in Berkshire, offered expansive outdoor spaces and a tranquil atmosphere, ideal for the retreat’s objectives. The accommodation onsite was supplemented with luxury glamping tents and bespoke shower units to create a unique and memorable experience.

Services Delivered

Initial Consultation: We conduct in-depth discussions to fully understand their vision, preferences and practical requirements for each event brief. This includes accommodation standards, accessibility and the desired atmosphere on each event.

Curated Venue Shortlist: Leveraging our extensive ‘Little Green Book’ of trusted venues, we present a refined selection tailored to Connect Ventures’ specific needs.

Site Visits & Recommendations: We arrange site visits to shortlisted venues, both overseas and in the UK, allowing the client to experience each location firsthand and make an informed decision

Contract Negotiation & Logistics Coordination: Once the venue is selected, we manage the negotiation process to secure the best possible terms. We also coordinate accommodation, catering and all necessary on-site facilities

Supplier Sourcing: In addition to securing the venues, we identify and recommend key suppliers, ensuring seamless retreat and event experiences.

Sustainability Focus

Our venue recommendations prioritise sustainability, with many locations offering eco-conscious accommodation, locally sourced catering, and low-impact operational practices. We work closely with venues and suppliers to ensure each retreat reflects Connect Ventures’ commitment to responsible business.
