Annual Fly-Fishing Experience on the River Nadder

Events Overview

For more than a decade, Lucy Claire Events has partnered with a leading property firm to deliver a purposeful, relationship‑building fly fishing experience on the River Nadder in Wiltshire. Now in its 10th year with the client — and 7th year on this beautiful stretch of river — the event brings together five guests for two days of connection, conversation and calm.

The group arrives the evening before, staying at The Great Bustard, where Lucy meets them for a relaxed dinner to set the tone for the experience. The following morning, they begin fishing at 9.30am, with rods provided by Darren, the river keeper, and all licences and flies organised in advance through Sportfish in Reading.

Lunch is prepared riverside by Bea from Holway Kitchen, whose food has become a highlight of the day. While each guest is welcome to take home two fish, the true value lies in the conversations, shared moments and strengthened relationships that unfold naturally in this peaceful setting.
